Color Burnt Cedar "UROCO"
"Tenryu no Uroko," made by processing and coloring cedar grown in the Tenryu Forest using traditional techniques!
"UROCO" is a type of colored burnt cedar that is processed using traditional techniques from thinned cedar wood grown in the rich waters of the Tenryu River system, while enhancing the natural wood grain with vibrant coloring. There are two processing methods: "burnt cedar," which involves charring the surface of the cedar board to enhance fire resistance and durability, and "ukizuri," which involves polishing part of the surface to create indentations that beautifully highlight the growth rings.
